One of the teaching purposes of gouache in middle school art class is to ask students to master the methods, steps and basic techniques of gouache. Therefore, in teaching, I first give students a preliminary understanding and understanding of color through the explanation of Qijiang prints, and through the explanation of still life and prints, we can enhance our understanding of the characteristics and colors of gouache.
First, guide students to effectively use the method of color shaping, coloring as a whole
Overall coloring requires students to have a certain sketching foundation and a certain overall painting ability. Actually, this step is to sketch the relationship. Color and sketch are both related and different. When we can see a certain color relationship, how to shape the sense of volume and space of a group of still life? Without a certain sketch foundation, color shaping may never be done. Therefore, when we face a group of still life, we should not only observe attentively, but also have rational processing ability, which is the basic foundation of body shaping. Of course, you can't sketch for the sake of sketching, and blindly emphasizing the relationship between light and shade may lose the meaning of color. Painting with colors is a taboo for gouache. How to shape it? We can generally use "three major faces and five major tones" to analyze the basic form, emphasize the independence of brush strokes, and divide an object into limited colors, that is, block painting. In this way, the picture will be clear-cut, the colors will be concise and clear, and the works will appear clean, solid and expressive with the change of brush strokes. Regarding the modeling method of block surface, for students who are new to color, they can practice the color scale from shallow to deep to distinguish the color scale.
Second, master the correct observation method.
The so-called observation is nothing more than the overall comparison, that is to say, the difference is different when compared with each other. In particular, we can observe subtle color changes by using "similar contrast method", repeatedly distinguish the same or similar colors, find out the color difference, and then decompose and transfer. In order to observe the object locally, it is best to observe the color of the object sideways to avoid "staring". Learn to observe the up and down, left and right, front and back relationship of objects, so as to strengthen the colors of different objects and different directions.
Third, the use of water.
As a blending agent of gouache, water is an indispensable and important substance in watercolor painting, gouache painting and ink painting. Although gouache painting can use dry painting and thick painting like oil painting, there are still many restrictions. Without water, its gouache characteristics can not be fully exerted, ignoring the grasp of water and the method of gouache painting. When drawing gouache, you should prepare two wet and dry towels to make the picture more beautiful. Properly grasping the proportion of water is very important for the success of a painting.
Fourth, the change of color strokes.
To draw gouache well, in addition to learning to observe and exercising a pair of keen eyes, the use of brush strokes is also the key to draw well. If you neglect to use a pen, your work will be smooth, artistic and lacking in painting. As the main form of color training for beginners, gouache is closely related to the performance of pens and pigments, the characteristics of gouache and the use of water. Firstly, the brush strokes of gouache painting change: the unique brush strokes of gouache painting show the size, length, Fiona Fang and width of brush strokes, and the use of brush strokes to swing, point, wipe and lift, which makes the picture more vivid. Secondly, the use of gouache is also reflected in the dry and wet effect produced by water. Thirdly, while paying attention to brushwork and water use, we should also pay attention to the intention of using a pen. In order to draw one picture at a time, we must be bold, general and just right. The courage to use a pen is not to be timid and cautious when expressing the picture, but to keenly grasp the accuracy of color and the salience of modeling. To summarize with a pen is to effectively grasp the vivid characteristics of the shape and color of an object, remove irrelevant details and vividly express the object. The so-called proper use of pens means that each pen should do its own job. Stroke by stroke, the contrast relationship between color and overall lightness, hue, warm color and purity is completely correct, and the relationship between the shape, structure, perspective, reality and other factors of the object must be unified in place. If you can handle these relationships well, I believe you can use them freely on the screen. ;
