The history of advertising in China can be traced back to 3000 years ago. In Shang Dynasty, a man named Borg sold his horse to a man named Peng Xian. This transaction was recorded in the form of bronze inscriptions specially casting inscriptions.
Zhou Li records that all transactions must be "reported to scholars". In the Song Dynasty, China already had image advertisements, namely trademarks. According to Song Dynasty painter Zhang Zeduan's The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, there are more than 30 billboards with banners and vertical signs near the East Gate of the Capital of Song Dynasty.
The Shanghai Museum has a silver medal of the needle-making workshop in Song Dynasty, which reads "Please recognize the white rabbit as a souvenir". With the invention of printing, newspapers and printed advertisements appeared one after another. It can be seen that 1000 years ago, the advertising industry in China was very developed.
