The first step in installing the torch is to put the fuel tank on the burner and tighten it. (As shown in Figure 0998: Install the fuel tank)
Then the most important step is to debug the torch. The debugging tool is a small torch, a torch switch key and a torch debugging wrench (as shown in figure 1008: torch debugging tool).
To debug the welding torch, you must first adjust the height of the flame with a debugging wrench. If the flame is too big, it will waste fuel. If torchbearers run slowly or far, they will run out of fuel. The flame should not be too small, too small for others to see, and the photos are ugly. In fact, the fuel used for the torch is butane, which is the fuel used for lighters. Adjusting the flame of the torch is the same as adjusting the lighter (as shown in figure 1004: adjusting the flame of the torch).
After the flame size of the torch is appropriate, the process related to torch safety-leak detection is carried out. Never let the leaked torch go on the road, or it will easily lead to fire and injury to torchbearers. For leak detection, a lighter is used to strike a fire around each part of the torch, and it is qualified that the spark does not cause combustion. The joint of oil tank and burner is the key point of inspection. The inspection should be carried out by professionals. The boss of the company that produces burners personally went into battle, and this hand in the picture is his. (as shown in figure 1006: torch leak detection)
If the torch is airtight, it can be assembled. Let me take a photo, but the torch is still installed by professional technicians (as shown in figure 1009: me and the eight-piece torch).
Finally, the most important process is to stick the heat conducting rod (copper rod next to the fuel tank at the lower end of the torch) on the side wall of the fuel tank with aluminum foil. because
The fuel in the fuel tank is liquid, which needs to absorb a lot of heat to become gas, which lowers its temperature and easily freezes or even frostbites the torchbearer's hand. Therefore, a heat conducting rod is designed to conduct the heat generated by the flame at the upper end of the torch to prevent the fuel tank from being too cold. In fact, the torch makes it hot and cold. The last step is to fix the burner on the shell, and the torch can be used (as shown in Figure 0993: the last step of torch assembly).
Every city will have a certain number of spare torches. For example, if there are 80 torchbearers in each overseas city, there will be about 88 torchbearers (10% reserve), and problems such as torch damage and air leakage will occur during transportation. Generally speaking, the torch with good appearance due to poor combustion or burner problems will be given as a gift to the Olympic Committee representatives in the relay city or countries and regions at the celebration after the relay.
The torchbearer can get the torch after the relay, but the staff must take out the fuel tank of the torch first to prevent danger and prevent the torchbearer from lighting the torch without permission after the relay. In addition, the torch used by torchbearers also has a beautiful box, which looks much better at home. The torch has been boxed, and the relay will begin soon!
