When we talk about Wuhan, red automatically flashes in our minds, because Wuhan is a red revolutionary base. Moreover, Wuhan's comprehensive strength is also leading in Central China. But in fact, the place name Wuhan did not exist at the earliest in the Republic of China. Later, due to the Northern Warlords Movement, Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang were divided into one administrative region to form Wuhan. Wuchang has been a military stronghold since ancient times, and Hanyang also has revolutionary significance after the Westernization Movement. Therefore, in 1926, the Kuomintang occupied Wuchang, Hanyang and Hankou respectively. A month later, it made an administrative adjustment plan to merge Wuchang, Hanyang and Hankou into a brand-new city called Wuhan. After the founding of New China, several surrounding cities merged into Wuhan, forming the present administrative region of Wuhan.

Third, the significance of Wuhan administrative region Wuhan, because of its outstanding geographical advantages, has become a battleground for generations.
