1985, Shanghai Automotive Group and Audi AG established Shanghai Audi AG. Volkswagen Germany presented the design drawings of Eva LaVida to Shanghai Volkswagen as a gift to celebrate the establishment of Shanghai Volkswagen, and then LaVida was officially listed in June 2008.
The Development History of LaVida in China
LaVida has launched three generations of models so far. 2008 -20 1 1 belongs to the first generation, 20 12 -20 17 belongs to the second generation and 20 18 belongs to the third generation.

LaVida went public in June 2008, and it took only half a year to get the sales of 44,000 vehicles. Since then, it has maintained a monthly sales volume of over 10,000, and has always occupied the top ten in the compact car sales list. On the one hand, this makes LaVida known as a magic car.

The first generation of LaVida was based on Bora at that time, but the measurements were bigger than Bora. The appearance adopts the same design language as Passat, so it looks more mature and stable. It is worth mentioning that the first generation LaVida and Bora are both built on the Volkswagen PQ34 platform.
(second generation lavida)
The second generation LaVida was unveiled at the 20 12 Beijing Auto Show. Compared with the first generation LaVida, the second generation no longer uses the 2.0L naturally aspirated engine, but it is still built on the PQ34 platform. In 20 15, LaVida first introduced the model of 1.2T engine.
(third generation lavida)
The third generation LaVida was unveiled at the 20 18 Beijing Auto Show. This generation of LaVida moved from the old PQ34 platform to the MQB platform, which increased the size of the whole vehicle again and renamed it LaVida plus. The 20 18 lavida cancelled the 1.6L power version and introduced the 1.5L version instead.
This is a power product adjustment within Volkswagen. Volkswagen introduced a brand-new 1.5L naturally aspirated engine to replace 1.4L and 1.6L naturally aspirated engines, so that 1.5L engine can be connected to the latest EA21/engine platform, which is helpful to provide production and sales and reduce production.
