The history of Liu Du town
According to the Records of Jinghai County, Liu Du was located in the lower reaches of Jiuhe River and was built during the confrontation between Song and Liao Dynasties. In the second year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, Daxing reclaimed land and gradually became a market town.

Because the three rivers of the Haihe River Basin, Ziya River, Daqing River and South Canal, meet here, the water quality is first-class, hence the name-Liu Du.

Liu Du has been an important flood and drought wharf since ancient times, guarding the land and water transportation arteries of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Here, the river is clear and sweet, and the ancient water transport ships are like a shuttle.

There are six hills, such as Liu Du North Hill and Liu Du East Hill, carved in the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. It is not difficult to see the important military position of this ancient town. Liu Du Tomb, also known as Liu Du Pass at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, has been called Liu Du Town since the Ming Dynasty.

At the beginning of the 20th century, an anti-imperialist and patriotic boxer movement swept across China. Famous Boxer leaders Zhang Decheng, Cao Futian, Teng Desheng, Liu Shijiu and others gathered in Liu Du Town, which is known as "the first altar in the world", and then led a delegation to Tianjin to crusade against Eight-Nation Alliance.

Today, there are 28 natural villages in the ancient town, with a total population of 36 1 10 and an area of 64.4 square kilometers. Du Jing Highway, Jinning Highway, Tianjin-Hebei Highway, Jinba Highway, beijing-shanghai railway and Beijing-Shanghai Expressway run through each other, and the geographical position is very superior.
