The evolution from knotting notes recorded in historical materials to graphic symbols marks a great turning point in the process of civilization in human history. Before characters appeared, people recorded and communicated according to various graphic symbols until the graphics evolved into simple characters, including three ancient characters in the world: Oracle Bone Inscriptions in China, cuneiform characters in the two river basins and Egyptian hieroglyphics.
It is worth mentioning that two of China's four early inventions, namely, papermaking invented by Cai Lun and printing invented by Bi Sheng, have played a positive role in promoting the progress of the world printing industry, made important contributions to the development of world cultural civilization, and laid a technical and material foundation for the spread of graphic design.

(II) Review of Western Modern Graphic Design The reason why western modern graphic design is influential in the world can be demonstrated from two aspects. After World War II, corporate image design became popular all over the world. (C) The development of graphic design in China Compared with the West, the modern graphic design in China is very weak and vague.
