Where is hairtail produced in Zhoushan?
Zhoushan hairtail is produced in Zhoushan fishing ground. Hairtail in Zhoushan is the first batch of geographical indication seafood in China and one of the four major economic fish in Zhoushan fishing ground. The remarkable characteristics of hairtail in Zhoushan are black eyes, scales falling off easily, fat bones, no protruding bones on the back and tender meat.

There are two ways to distinguish whether to bring fish in Zhoushan.

1. In appearance, hairtail in Zhoushan is small and narrow, with a body width of 4cm~7cm and a body length of 40cm~60cm. Take the common hairtail in the South China Sea as an example. Hot water hairtail is located in the tropics. Hairtail in South China Sea grows rapidly, its muscles are flabby and its body is huge. Hairtail in hot water is more than one meter long. It tastes rough and loose, has no bite, and has big bones.
