Wenchang Pagoda of Hepu
Hepu County, Guangxi, located at the southernmost tip of the motherland, is an ancient county with a long history and culture in the Han Dynasty. Wenchang Tower is located about 3 kilometers south of Hepu County, Guangxi. It was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It is a 7-story brick tower with dense eaves and a narrow shape from bottom to top, with a red fenugreek at the top. Hepu Wenchang Tower is located in the southern suburb of Hepu City, just across the road from Hepu "Han Dynasty Cultural Museum". The famous ancient Han group is hidden in the dense forests around, and the locals also call it Wenchang Tower and Fanta.
Wenchang Tower has a history of 397 years, and was renovated once a year in198/kloc-0. It is an octagonal seven-story brick tower with a diameter of 10 meter. The whole tower is tapered from bottom to top, shrinking layer by layer, and looks tall and handsome.
The spire was originally a dense-eaves pagoda brake, but it was damaged by lightning and built into a gourd treasure top. Originally, there were east-west windward doors for people to enter and exit, and all the baffles in the tower were connected with the stairs, so climbers could climb around the stairs to the top of the tower layer by layer.
Standing at the top of the tower, facing south, you can see the vast sea and even the whole Beihai city. To the north, you can have a panoramic view of Hepu, the ancient city of Lianzhou; To the east and west are vast forests and beautiful mountains. Unfortunately, due to the protection of the tower, all the doors of the tower are sealed with bricks, so tourists can only stand under the tower and "look at the tower and sigh".
It is reported that Hepu will protect and repair Wenchang Tower recently. During the maintenance period, Wenchang Tower Scenic Area is not open to the public, and non-construction personnel are forbidden to enter the scenic area without authorization!
