What good books about history can you recommend?
I can recommend two books to you, both of which are China's four classic works. One is The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and the other is A Dream of Red Mansions. Everyone knows these two books, but not everyone understands them thoroughly. Let me share my own understanding and feelings with you.

Let's start with Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is a story about a man's war. The book begins with the yellow turban insurrectionary. The mighty peasants, with yellow headscarves on their heads and weapons in their hands, rose up to resist the rule of the imperial court, which can directly tell us the simple truth that officials forced the people to rebel.

Later, the Yellow turban insurrectionary failed, and Dong Zhuo, the biggest traitor in the north, really ended the rule of the Han Dynasty and monopolized the power. Although he did not monopolize power for a long time, he laid the groundwork for the hegemony of the three countries and the tripartite confrontation. Cao Cao established Wei, Liu Bei established Shu, and Sun Quan defended Soochow. The three countries have fought for more than a hundred years, but they have always maintained a relatively balanced situation.

It was not until the three families returned to Jin that Sima Yan unified the three countries and established the Western Jin Dynasty. This is a rough story sequence, but interspersed with heroes' literary talents and magnificent battles, not only the art of war but also rich themes such as humanities, astronomy, geography and history.

The favorite passage is the trust and dependence between Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang, which is exactly what people in our society lack now.

Next is A Dream of Red Mansions. I think the most valuable thing in it is poetry. Cao Xueqin, the author, read it for ten years and cut it five times before completing this epic masterpiece. Every detail in it has a beginning and an end, which embodies the beginning and the end. The fate of the characters in the book is closely related to their personalities. Every woman in the Red Chamber has a different personality and face, but the final outcome is a tragedy, which reminds us everywhere. We must be alert to the truth that joy begets sorrow.

I like Jia Tanchun best. Although she was born by Yu Ji, she bravely fought against her fate. She is not worse than her sister-in-law Wang Xifeng in learning ability and housekeeping ability, and has a man's mind and vision. I think this may be because she likes reading at ordinary times, so Jia Tanchun's personal servant girl is called a servant girl. Finally, I married Xiliang country far away and didn't see the decline of my family with my own eyes. This is one of the lucky characters in the book. I think the author Cao Xueqin should like this role very much, so her fate will have such an arrangement.

Being a woman means reading more books. Because reading more books can broaden your horizons, fill your shortcomings and understand the truth of being a man. Just like Tanchun, even if you are humble, you can win the respect and admiration of others through your efforts the day after tomorrow. To get out of one's own small world, one must be as broad-minded and ambitious as men in the Three Kingdoms, and strive for one's own ideals.

When you are in full bloom, butterflies come. The best and stable life is achieved through hard work.
