Linhai Xueyuan is located in Zhangguangcailing, a branch of Changbai Mountain in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province, and its surrounding areas. Its landform is dominated by mountains, shallow hills and hills, and it is known as "nine mountains, half water and half fields".

Zhangguangcailing area is located in the south-central part of Heilongjiang Province and parts of eastern Jilin Province.
