The Historical Evolution of Shandong Weifang Binhai Economic Development Zone
Shandong Weifang Binhai Economic Development Zone began in the Tang Dynasty and experienced the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. They all belong to Nanpi Township, Shouguang County (now Shouguang City) and are stationed in Wutai (now Houzhen, Shouguang City).

In the second year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty (19 10), the county was divided into 15 autonomous regions, and Nanpi Township was subordinate to Guan Hai District.

1932 (2 1 year of the Republic of China), Shouguang Kuomintang government was ordered to merge 15 into 10, and Guanhai District was 9.

1942 10, Shouguang County is composed of District 9, 10th District of Shouguang County, fourth area and 5th District of wei county, and the county seat is located in Liujiachengzi Village (now Liujiachengzi Village, Dajiawa Sub-district Office of Binhai Development Zone).

1944 Shouwei County was abolished in April, and Weichang County was established in May (including some districts and villages in Changyi City).

1945 10. After the revocation of Changwei County, District 9 was reverted to Shouguang County, and the district headquarters were successively located in Yushu Garden, Qilizhuang and Liujiachengzi (now Yushu Garden, Qili and Liujiachengzi of Dajiawa Sub-district Office of Binhai Development Zone).

In July, 1948, Area 9 was renamed as Wanghai District, and its stations were in Donghei Village and Daokou Village successively; May, 1950, renamed Jiuqu and Zhudaokou Village; 1June 1953 was renamed as Daokou District.

/kloc-0. In April, 955, a fishery zone was established from Daokou District, located in Dajiawa Village (now Dajiawa Village, Dajiawa Sub-district Office of Binhai Development Zone).

1February, 958, the district was merged into the township, and Dajiawa Township was established. In September of the same year, the seaside people's commune was established.

1959, the commune was moved from Shi Qiaocun (now Dajiawa Sub-district Office, Shi Qiaocun, Binhai Development Zone) to Daokou Village and renamed Daokou People's Commune.

1April, 1984, separated from Daokou People's Commune and built Dajiawa Town (renamed Dajiawa Sub-district Office in June, 2005).

1995 On August 5th, Weifang Marine Chemical High-tech Industrial Development Zone covering an area of 283 square kilometers was established on the basis of Yangkou Salt Field, Weifang Alkali Factory and Dajiawa Town, Shouguang City.

On September 2, 2002, KLOC-0 was approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government as a provincial high-tech industrial development zone.

From June, 5438 to February, 2005, it was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission as a provincial-level development zone and named "Shandong Weifang Binhai Economic Development Zone".

20 10 in may, Weifang Binhai economic development zone was officially approved as a national economic and technological development zone.
