1Around the mid-1980s, the interior decoration design industry in China was in the initial stage of development, and the traditional hand-painted techniques (gouache and watercolor) were the main means of expression of the renderings, which were more realistic. After nearly 20 years, the decoration and design industry in China has developed rapidly. So far, the expression form and the primary stage of the renderings have formed a cycle. However, its significance, function and value are quite different. Nowadays, the application space of hand-drawing is larger and the expression is more flexible. The author is aiming at this point, corresponding to the development needs of the current design field. According to the characteristics of the drawings, he adopted various forms and techniques, with a solid performance foundation and accumulated experience, combined with the needs of the current decoration design, and sought common ground while reserving differences with the traditional painting methods, and changed and developed.
Learning hand-drawing should not only keep pace with the times, but also master the latest hand-drawing tools and techniques from a practical point of view, and also understand the relationship between traditional techniques and modern techniques and grasp the essence of hand-drawing. Specifically, we should pay attention to the systematic basic training of techniques, from sketching and line drawing to coloring training, and then to the rapid expression of ideographic characters. Cultivating a down-to-earth, heavy and opportunistic attitude is a scientific method to master hand-drawing faster.
