Is Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway open to traffic?
Chengmian Expressway was reopened to traffic at the end of February 2023.

The Qingbaijiang connection section of Chengdu-Mianyang double-track expressway interchange was held. It is expected that the whole line will be completed in 2023, and it is expected to be fully open to traffic by the end of February 2023. By then, the time from Qingbaijiang to Chengdu Third Ring Road will be shortened to 15 minutes. The expansion project of Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway is an expressway project which is built by means of newly-built double track and reconstruction and expansion of the original road in order to alleviate the traffic pressure of the existing Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway and improve the transportation efficiency of the passage.

Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway starts from Sanhechang, Chengdu, passes Xindu, Qingbaijiang, Guanghan and Deyang, and ends at Mojia, Mianyang, with a total length of 92.4 kilometers. With a design speed of 120km/h, it is a fully enclosed, fully interconnected and high-standard modern expressway. Passing through Guanghan and Deyang, passing through the economically developed areas in the western Sichuan Plain. It is a section of Beijing-Kunming Highway, a national trunk line, and an economic transportation trunk line planned and implemented in Sichuan Province.

History of Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway

Chengmian Expressway was officially completed and put into operation on June1998+February 2 1. Its completion will play an important role in improving the north-south transportation capacity of Sichuan, promoting the economic development along the route, exploring the potential resources of Chengdu, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Germany and Mianyang, improving the investment environment and expanding the vast tourism industry.

In the western development, it will show outstanding social and economic benefits. Sichuan Chengmian Expressway Co., Ltd. is fully responsible for the operation and management of this highway, and is the first Sino-foreign cooperative enterprise in southwest China to invest in transportation infrastructure and management. At the same time, it also manages 27 kilometers of the first-class highway in the north section of Daqian Road.
