Wuzhou No.5 Middle School, formerly known as Wuzhou No.3 Junior High School, was founded in the autumn of 1956, and its school address is one yuan and one chong on Shigu Road. When the school started, there were 4 classes, 200 students and 18 faculty members. Cui Wenhe, the vice principal, was the head of the school (there was no principal at that time).

1in the autumn of 959, Wuzhou No.3 junior high school was changed to Wuzhou No.5 middle school, and the school scale was expanded to 12 class with more than 550 students. There are more than 40 teachers. Since then, the school has moved four times.

At the beginning of 1980, Wuzhou Revolutionary Committee decided to relocate Wuzhou No.5 Middle School for the third time, from Baiheshan to Sanyun Village (Sanyun Road), the former site of Wuzhou Normal School. And enrolled in the middle school affiliated to Wuzhou Normal University 12 class, with 500 students and more than 50 faculty members. At this time, the school has increased to 32 teaching classes (including 12 high school classes), with more than 20 faculty members 120.

1986, No.5 Middle School was rated as an advanced unit of "Love Science Month" by Guangxi Association for Science and Technology.
