? Hainan Province, referred to as "Qiong" for short, is the southernmost provincial administrative region of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China), with Haikou as its capital. It is a special economic zone and a free trade pilot zone in China. Located in the south of China, it is bordered by Qiongzhou Strait in the north, Guangxi and Viet Nam in the west, Taiwan Province Province in the South China Sea in the east, and the Philippines, Brunei and Malaysia in the southeast and south respectively. Hainan is located on the tropical edge and belongs to a tropical province with a tropical maritime monsoon climate. Hainan Province has a total land area of 35,400 square kilometers, including 33,900 square kilometers in Hainan Island and 2 million square kilometers in sea area. It is the largest "tropical treasure land" in China, with a total coastline of1823km and a total sea area of about 2 million square kilometers. It is the largest marine province in China.
According to Article 30 of the Constitution, the administrative regions of People's Republic of China (PRC) are divided as follows: (1) The whole country is divided into provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government; (2) Provinces and autonomous regions are divided into autonomous prefectures, counties, autonomous counties and cities; (3) Counties and autonomous counties are divided into townships, nationality townships and towns. Municipalities directly under the central government and larger cities are divided into districts and counties. Autonomous prefectures are divided into counties, autonomous counties and cities. Autonomous regions, autonomous prefectures and autonomous counties are all ethnic autonomous areas.
