At the beginning of 1953, the Zhejiang provincial government decided to build a full-time complete middle school in Jinhua. Immediately, Jinhua Society set up the preparatory office of Jinhua Xinjian Middle School, organized a school-running team and prepared to build a school building. The school site was chosen in Maolishan, a high village in the northern suburb of Jinhua City, and was temporarily named Jinhua Xinjian Middle School.

On May 6th, 1953, the East China Cultural Commission approved the plan of building a new middle school in Jinhua.

196365438+February, Jinhua No.2 Middle School affiliated to Jinhua Gliding School was newly built in Zhejiang Military Region.

1February, 967, the military propaganda team entered the school and had a short resumption of classes. In April, as the society gradually split into two factions, the school was closed. In September, the army propaganda team was replaced and the school resumed classes for the second time.

1June, 970, the District Revolutionary Committee decided to rename the school Jinhua No.2 Middle School.

1978 1 month, the school was once again placed under the leadership of Jinhua District, and the name of Zhejiang Jinhua No.2 Middle School was restored.

On May 9th 1979, Jinhua Branch of Zhejiang Normal University appointed Jinhua No.2 Middle School. In autumn, the Department of Chinese and Foreign Languages at Jinhua Branch of Zhejiang Normal University moved to Jinhua No.2 Middle School.

1980 autumn, the party and government organs and the departments of physics, mathematics, politics and education of Jinhua Branch of Zhejiang Normal University moved in.

1982 June 15, Jinhua Branch of Zhejiang Normal University was merged into Zhejiang Normal University, and Jinhua No.2 Middle School was affiliated to Zhejiang Normal University and under the unified leadership of Zhejiang Normal University.

1985 In February, Zhejiang Normal University was upgraded to Zhejiang Normal University, and the school became a secondary school affiliated to Zhejiang Normal University, also known as Zhejiang Jinhua No.2 Middle School.

1March 1997 17, Zhejiang provincial education commission awarded the title of first-class key middle school in Zhejiang province.

On April 20 14, the school was awarded the title of "Zhejiang first-class ordinary high school characteristic demonstration school".
