Guide ancient city-a famous historical and cultural city in China.
Most ancient cities in China have walls, and cities without walls cannot be counted as cities. The geographical location where the ancients could make great efforts to build the city wall is bound to be very important. The land of Suiyang, from Shang Dynasty to the present ancient city of Suiyang, has gone through the muddy road of China history. For thousands of years, so many ancient city walls have been built in history, and even the so-called city walls of seven dynasties in the Nine Dynasties have been leveled by the giant hand of time. The ancient city wall of Guidefu in Suiyang District of Shangqiu City has been fortunate to have gone through more than 490 years of history, and now its battlements, inner cities and moats are basically well preserved and solemn.
The existing ancient city wall was built in the sixth year of Zheng De in Ming Dynasty (15 1 1). It is an old castle-style building with the outer ring of the city inside, which looks like copper coins. The perimeter of the brick wall is 3.6 kilometers, and the gate is an arched door. The east gate is Binyang, the west gate is Geze, the south gate is Yang Gong, and the north gate is Chen Gong.
The city is shaped like a turtle's back, with 93 streets overlooking the city like a chessboard. Most of the buildings in the city are Zouma Gate Tower and five-door quadrangle buildings. According to the theory that the five elements are mutually reinforcing, in order to prevent Jin Mu from mutually reinforcing, the East and the West are mutually wrong. East gate south, west gate north, staggered by a street, two corners intersect with the north-south axis respectively. From Jiajing in Ming Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty, there were two university students (prime ministers), five ministers, a dozen assistant ministers, governors, censors, company commanders and famous literati in the city. The broad moat rippled with blue waves and surrounded the city. The river in the south of the city is wide, more than 500 meters from north to south, and more than 0/300 meters from east to west. The ancient city of Suiyang in Han and Tang Dynasties, Nanjing in Song Dynasty and the former site of Guide House in Yuan Dynasty are superimposed underwater. As the walls and gates of Guide Ancient City are well preserved, it has become one of the rare ancient cities in China.
The ancient city was preserved entirely because of the existence of the ancient city wall, which blocked the disaster and resisted the wind and rain. /kloc-in August of 0/9, the four passes were flooded, but the water did not enter the city, and there were ancient city walls; The next summer, after days of heavy rain, the flood outside the city soared, and people sat on the wall and watched the water level rise, rise and rise to the point where they could wash their feet. People are very worried. Once the city wall collapses, the consequences can be imagined. People are helpless! The old lady can only kneel in front of the Buddha statue to pray. Finally, the ancient city wall stood the test and did not let the flood into the city. Later, it was estimated that the water level outside the city was as high as three stories in the city.
It is said that the reason why Suiyang ancient city was approved as a famous historical and cultural city in China was mainly because the experts of the investigation team saw the towering ancient city wall. They lamented: it is really difficult for the ancient city wall to be preserved so well! Therefore, experts did not hesitate to designate the ancient city wall as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
