SAIC-GM is a joint venture company (a joint venture between SAIC and American GM), similar to Shanghai Volkswagen.

Wuling is a company (liuzhou wuling Automobile Co., Ltd.) and a brand. Before 2002, Wuling brand vans were all produced by Wuling Company.

In June 2002, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., an independent joint venture company, was established by SAIC-GM-Wuling Group. Since then, Wuling brand vans have been produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling.

20 10 SAIC-GM-Wuling Company founded Baojun brand of passenger cars. The van still uses Wuling brand.
