What is the classic history of Puyang?
Puyang has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation. As early as about 25 13 BC, it was the activity center of Zhuan Xu tribe, one of the five emperors, and was called "Diqiu". With the evolution of history, it has changed its name several times. It is called Kunwu Country in summer and Dewey in Spring and Autumn, also known as "Five Lucheng". After the Qin Dynasty destroyed Wei, it was renamed Puyang, Zhangzhou in the Song Dynasty and Kaizhou in the Jin Dynasty because the city was located in the Yang of Pushui. At the beginning of the Republic of China, it was renamed Puyang. It is called "Ancient Battlefield", and Chu Jin's famous "Battle of Chengpu", Qi and Wei's "Battle of Maling" and "Alliance of Song and Liao" all took place here. Puyang's simple folk customs and outstanding people have nurtured many historical celebrities such as China writer Cang Xie, the first poetess, Mrs. Xu Mu, politician and strategist Shang Yang Wuqi, monks and his party, and Gong Tianting, the master of Yuan Opera. It is also an old revolutionary base area with a glorious revolutionary tradition. In modern history, Puyang was one of the origins of the Tian Li Uprising, the Nian Army Uprising and the Boxer Rebellion all over the country. In the new-democratic revolutionary struggle, Puyang is one of the earliest activity areas and revolutionary bases of our party. 1926, the party's grass-roots organizations were established and gradually developed into the heart of Hebei, Shandong and Henan revolutionary base areas. Zhu De, Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping, Chen Yi, Yang Dezhi and other revolutionaries of the older generation worked and fought here and organized a series of major military activities.
