Jimo city, an ancient historical and commercial city, was recorded with this name in the history books more than 2,000 years ago. Today, history has not left many traces, but business is still prosperous. There is a relatively large wholesale market for clothing, small commodities and fabrics. Because of too much business, Jimo people have a nickname called Jimo Monkey, which probably means cunning and a little fierce.

Tourist attractions include hot springs (well developed), Tian Heng Island (basically declining) Mashan and so on.

Jimo has convenient transportation, and the distance to Yin Qing, Wei Qing, Yanqing and the airport is also very convenient.
