There are different opinions about Li De's coming to China. Said read was appointed by the * * * International Oriental Department; Second, it was sent to northeast China by the General Staff of the Soviet Red Army to collect Japanese intelligence, and then followed Bo Gu to the Soviet area; Third, as described in the China Chronicle written by Li De himself, he was sent to China as a military adviser by the International Executive Committee. According to the materials found now, Li De is a military adviser invited by the Central Committee of Bo Gu, which is of a private nature.
As for the real reason why Li De came to China, it has become a historical mystery, and now it can only be analyzed through some memories of the witnesses at that time.
1937, Wang Jiaxiang, who was injured in the Long March, went to the Soviet Union for treatment, where he met Wang Ming, the representative of China's * * * producer in the * * * production international. Wang Jiaxiang asked Wang Ming about Li De: How did * * * Production International decide to send Li De to China? What did you talk to Li De before he went to China? Why did Bo Gu rely entirely on Li De to direct military work?
Wang Jiaxiang later recalled: "I was surprised by Wang Ming's answer that day." What did Wang Ming say to surprise Wang Jiaxiang?
It turned out that Wang Ming said that * * * International had never sent Li De to China, and he himself had never given any instructions to the German. He only knew that Li De was sent to China by the Soviet General Staff, and he didn't know what to do when he was sent to China. After the surprise, Wang Jiaxiang flew into a rage. He thinks that Wang Ming is making up lies to pass the buck. Because at that time * * * international representatives and consultants sent to various countries had to go through the eastern and western departments of * * * international. When these two institutions were abolished, they were directly decided and approved by the * * * International Executive Committee. Wang Ming is an executive member of * * * International, responsible for the Party's work in China. How can he know nothing about such a big thing? And if Li Dezhen, as Wang Ming said, was sent to China by the Soviet General Staff, why should he command the China Production Party and the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army? It is estimated that Wang Ming only knows that Li De was sent to China by the Soviet General Staff, not as a military adviser, and he doesn't know either.
When Li De arrived in China, Bo Gu Kailai was the head of the temporary Central Committee. They met in Moscow and hit it off in Shanghai. They stayed in Shanghai for a whole year from 1932 to 1933. During this period, Bo Gu established absolute trust in Li De. Because of the lack of military work experience, and because Li De graduated from Fulongzhi Military Academy, Bo Gu Kailai proposed to go with Li De before going to the Central Soviet Area in the spring of 1933. Therefore, Li De is not a military representative sent by * * * International, but a military adviser hired by Bo Gu Kailai in the name of China Central Committee. Because at that time, Manfred Sting, a military consultant sent by * * * production international, was on his way to Shanghai, and later did not go to the Soviet area.
After arriving in the Soviet area, Bo Gu quickly pushed him onto the stage and let him master the military command. Previously, Zhu De and Mao Zedong commanded the Red Army.
