Apart from historical trends, such as the demise of the Sui Dynasty, the rise and fall of heroes at the end of the Sui Dynasty, and the unification of the world by the Tang Dynasty, almost everything else is false. Among the eighteen heroes of Sui and Tang Dynasties, only Qin Qiong, Weichi Gong and Dan Xiong Xin did exist in history. The leader before Shi Biao in Wagangshan was Zhai Rang, not Cheng; Xu Maogong was a serious military commander in the official history, not a strategist, and so on. The biggest difference between the Romance of the Sui and Tang Dynasties and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms is that most of the characters in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms do exist in history, while most of the characters in the Romance of the Sui and Tang Dynasties are fabricated.
