Old works refer to works numbered TH0 1-TH05. Also known as black history in China. The settings, characters, world outlook and game system of these five works are very different from those of the new works. At that time, ZUN's club was called ZUNSOFT, and its running platform was PC-98 (computer architecture produced and sold in Japan). Among them, the first one is a brick-hitting game, and the last four are barrage shooting (that is, STG). The game system tends to be perfect, laying the foundation for the new work.
New works refer to works after TH06, that is, works after Dongfanghong Magic Town (including azazel Town) are called new works. The world view, characters and basic game system of the new work have been reset. The name of the club was also changed to Shanghai リスス (Shanghai Alice Fantasy Orchestra), and the operating platform was also transferred to the popular window. According to serial number, system, producer's new work, etc. Generally, it is divided into two parts: true story and external story. Integers are true stories, and those with decimal points are foreign stories. True Story is a single-player STG shooting game except that the Oriental Huaying Tomb is a double STG, and all the games in True Story are made by Zun (the only exception is the ending picture of Huaying Tomb, which was made by Alphonse at dusk boundary).
You Zun independently produced Oriental Flower Iron and DS Oriental Flower Iron (or called Oriental Flower Iron DS). These two works are both barrage photography games. Four fighting games in cooperation with Twilight Border: Oriental Dream Extraction, Oriental Missing Paradise, Oriental Thinking Paradise, and Oriental Mind Creation. These four games are barrage fighting games, produced by ZUN and Twilight Border. Fairy Wars is a game related to the essence of Oriental March, and it is an STG game with a special game system. The vertical version of this work was drawn by Qin Zhen Sakamoto.
The works released by PC-98 from 1996 to 1998 platforms are called "Oriental Black History" by current players. During this period, Zun created five works altogether. There are Biography of the Spirit of the East, The Magical Record of the East, Fantasy Time and Space of the East, Fantasy Land of the East, and Strange Stories of the East. Among them, The Story of the East, as the first work, is just a magical brick game. At the time of publication, the name of the club was "Zun Ruan". Because PC-98 was depressed at that time, these games were not well-known, but due to the influence of new works on WINDOWS in the future, they received renewed attention. Now the game products are out of print, and the hardware is not easy to obtain, but interested players can see their characteristics through the simulator.
After four years of stagnation, the author continued to publish works on the platform of WINDOWS, and the name of the club was changed to the current Shanghai Alice Fantasy Orchestra (Shanghai Fantasy Music). Compared with the old works, the overall level of the game has been greatly improved, especially the background music and character setting, which are excellent works in fan games and have also led to the second creation tide of many fan clubs.
