Built in a temple, such as Baiyun Cave. Li Xianliang's Memories of Laoshan's Anti-Japanese War once recalled: "At the beginning of the Anti-Japanese War, anti-Japanese troops often made guns here. Later, they were discovered by the enemy. Twenty-eight years (1939) in March, when they swept through the old mountain, they surrounded and searched and dug up tools and appliances such as rotating beds. The enemy set fire to the temple, killed six Taoist priests and two firemen, and made this Baiyun Cave miserable.
From now on, the location of Baiyun Cave does not have the conditions to build an arsenal, because it is close to the expressway and easy to be found. However, during the Anti-Japanese War, the road to Laoshan Mountain was bumpy, and Baiyun Cave near the sea had traffic advantages. Taking advantage of this advantage, it not only built an arsenal here, but also served as a guest house for the wartime government, making contributions to the war of resistance.
Similar places include Taiping Palace. From today's perspective, the Taiping Palace, which is close to villages and roads, should be a relatively unsafe place, but in that year, it became the military grain depot of Bao Qing. The reason is that there are huge stones piled up next to them, and the caves in the crevices are connected everywhere and winding. Those who enter, such as entering the eight-array map, are not allowed to leave their mouths. Therefore, people who hide are like cunning rabbits entering the cave. Relying on these geographical advantages, after eight years of anti-Japanese war, Taiping Palace has been safe and sound, which is a real "peace".
Besides Baiyun Cave, Shuyang Cave and Shen Qing Palace are also used as arsenals. These places are all around Laoshan Mountain, close to the village, and their main purpose is to meet the traffic needs.
Although the arsenal built in the temple Taoist temple is convenient, it is easy to be found and destroyed by enemy planes in the sky. So in the late period of the Anti-Japanese War, the arsenal was moved to a cave made of huge stones, and such arsenal was the most in the western hills of Changling.
There are stones rising in the west hill of Changling every day, and there is a tall stone house under the stone, which is considered as the grain storage base of Bao Qing. In addition, there is a place called "factory" and a valley called "Tuanchang" in the deep valley of the mountain in the west of the village. Using terrain and manpower to build some manufacturing workshops has strong concealment and convenient operation. There are still casting waste blocks in the cave, which is called Baoqing No.1 Arsenal.
When the machinery workshop of Baiyun Cave was burned down by the enemy, in order to choose a safe and fixed place so that the enemy could not reach it, the arsenal was moved to a cave near Jufeng (in Li Xianliang's words), which was deep in the mountainside and difficult to climb. This is considered to be the second arsenal in Bao Qing.
Where is this "ape is difficult to climb" hole? Because of the lack of relevant information, many people are looking for it. Some teachers think this hole is in a place called "Liuhe Chang 'an". From the charming stream in the north of Daanzi to the northeast, you will reach Goupiling. Over the ridge is Liuhe Chang 'an.
The terrain of this place is dangerous, with an altitude of more than 800 meters. There is a cave behind an open field, which is several hundred meters long. At present, the cave has collapsed and blocked, and the situation inside is unknown. There are many room ruins around the clearing, and there are more than 10 rooms.
Topographically, it is said that it has all the elements of an arsenal, but it is doubtful whether it can dig such a deep hole during the Anti-Japanese War. Some people think that this is a cave dug after liberation, and the house is used by forest farms. Personally, I think this should be a cave dug by the troops in the later period.
Another way of saying this is that the cave is located under the goddess peak. This cave has been visited by familiar mountain friends, and later your mountain friends have visited it many times. The cave of the Thousand Female Peaks is very hidden, and the big holes are covered with small holes, just like a maze. There are artificial marks in the cave, which is suitable for concealed construction. Unfortunately, the terrain in the cave is complex and not suitable for large-scale operations. In addition, there is no trace of the factory in the cave, so there is not enough evidence for an arsenal.
Conclusion: The current location of Baoqing No.2 Arsenal is still a mystery.
As the Anti-Japanese War drew to a close, in order to meet the needs of the war, Bao Qing established the third arsenal named Xie Zijia on a mountain peak 500 meters above sea level in the northwest of Zhutaling. The arsenal here is the product of the most frequent fighting between Bao Qing and the Japanese Puppet. It was destroyed twice and military personnel were killed. The time of its establishment determines that its existence is not long.
Laoshan Arsenal is a relic of Laoshan Anti-Japanese War and a precious historical relic. Unfortunately, no one is digging and protecting it now. It is lost in weeds and vines and gradually forgotten by the world.
