The Historical Evolution of Baoying County
Dongyang County was built in the Qin Dynasty and belongs to Donghai County. Dongyang and Ping 'an Sheyang were three counties in the Han Dynasty, which successively belonged to Linhuai and Guangling counties. At the beginning of Sui Dynasty, Anyi County was unified. In the Tang Dynasty, Su Zong reigned on April 16th, the third year of Shangyuan (AD 14 May, 762). The Ming Dynasty was transferred to Gaoyou Prefecture. The Qing Dynasty belonged to Yangzhou Prefecture. The Republic of China was successively subordinate to Huaiyang Road and Huaiyin Administrative Supervision Zone.
