Yancheng has a long history of making salt from seawater.

Production process control:

1, brine:

(1) Absorbing moisture and pumping water: the sediment in seawater is fully precipitated by reservoirs and evaporation areas, and the seawater is purified by adsorption and flocculation precipitation of suspended sediment particles in seawater.

(2) Culture: Through natural culture of shellfish and Artemia, algae in seawater are filtered to reduce the nitrogen and phosphorus content in seawater.

2. Crystallization:

(1) Deep-water crystallization: deep-water crystallization is carried out by using rain-proof facilities, and the depth is kept above 20 cm all the year round.

(2) Sunlight sharing: the area ratio of the main pool and the auxiliary pool reaches 6: 4.

(3) Brine replacement in irrigation pond: floating brine is used for irrigation pond or brine replacement, and the brine is clean and the transparency is not less than 15cm.

(4) Live ballast: Live ballast is started in March every year, and the general continuous evaporation is 20 mm ~ 30 mm. The salt ballast should be completely and evenly alive until the salt is scraped.

3. Salt collection and storage: collect salt through hydraulic pipeline, wash salt with pure fresh salt water, and wash salt once without circulation. More than 2.0 cubic meters of brine is used per ton of salt, and the salt in the first and second tanks is accumulated.

4. Processing: The production of crude salt must be completed locally and refined into various edible salts by physical means such as crushing, washing, dehydration and drying.

Origin environment

Sheyang County is located in the central coastal area of northern Jiangsu, bordering the Yellow Sea in the east, tinghu district in Yancheng City in the south, jianhu county and Funing County in the west, and the main irrigation canal in northern Jiangsu across from Binhai County in the north.

It is located between 33 31′12 ″ north latitude and 34 07 ′15 ″ east longitude, with a total area of 25 438+019 55 ′ 48 ″-65 438+020. The terrain of the county is high in the east and low in the west, high in the north and south and low in the middle.

The sea area of Sheyang County (the area from the coastline to the outer limit of the territorial sea baseline) belongs to the Yellow Sea in marine geography, starting from the "coastline ray" in the north and reaching the sea boundary line with Dafeng District of Yancheng City in the south. Sheyang County has a coastline of 103km and a total sea area of 209,000 hectares, including12,553 hectares in the supratidal zone, 7,667 hectares in the intertidal zone and 65,438+in the subtidal zone.

The north of Sheyang estuary is an erosive silty coast with a narrow embankment surface, generally 0.5-2 km; To the south of Sheyang Estuary is a muddy coast with a wide beach with a gentle slope and a beach width of 2-3.5km. The vast sea area and abundant sunshine and wind resources are extremely beneficial to the manufacture of sea salt.
