Daoxiang Village was founded in the 38th year of Qing Qianlong (A.D. 1773), and it was named after Daoxiang Village in Daguanyuan in Cao Xueqin's masterpiece A Dream of Red Mansions. It is the most famous store (factory) in Suzhou with a long history of producing and distributing Suzhou-style cakes, and it is also the most representative store (factory) that comprehensively inherits and develops Suzhou-style cakes. It is famous for its superb production skills and running Soviet-style games. On August 3 1926, Suzhou Ming Pao published an advertisement for the completion of the new house in Daoxiang Village, saying that the mysterious temple in Suzhou has been in operation for more than a hundred years, and it is still a tall foreign facade because of its business expansion. On the occasion of the completion of the new house, the word "He" was specially added. However, according to 19 14 Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce, Daoxiang Village was founded in Tongzhi for three years (1864). However, 193 1 wrote "Food and Beverage in Chunhua Restaurant", saying: "The owner of Daoxiang Village is Shen, who threw himself into his hometown in the Battle of Hongyang. He once served tea and vegetables in a village near Yangcheng Lake, and his business is still good. After returning to the city after the chaos, the accumulated capital has become rich. Because I plan to expand my business, I am in Guanqian Street. " It is difficult to check the above records in detail. Through the way of "master takes apprentice", it has been passed down from generation to generation, and "South store opens in the north, and South taste opens in the north" has blossomed rapidly in dozens of cities in the north, which is all the rage. But unfortunately, the "Xiang Tao Village" with the same roots, the same origin and the same door is still fighting in dozens of cities under the same brand.

There are also different opinions about the store tricks in Daoxiang Village. According to the legend in the past, the owner of this shop, Wang Qiugen, loved watching Dream of Red Mansions and was inspired by it. He also thought that the raw materials of tea and cake are rice and wheat, so he decided to name it Daoxiang Village. However, according to the book "Food and Beverage in Chunhua Restaurant", the boss surnamed Shen ... is located in Guanqian Street, but the signboard has no inscription, so it is based on his close friend, a radish farmer in Taihu Lake. He likes reading novels. Seeing that there is a plaque like Daoxiang Village in the Grand View Garden of A Dream of Red Mansions, I chose these three words as the title of the temple.

At present, Daoxiang Village produces candy, roasted seeds and nuts, preserved green salt and western-style candy, biscuits, canned food, dairy products and beverages. It also manages 22 categories of tea and cakes with its own traditional characteristics, with more than 30 varieties/kloc-0, including 70 perennial varieties and more than 60 seasonal varieties. Seasonal varieties change with the seasonal changes of four seasons and eight festivals, and have won award-winning brand names.
