Where is the hutong with the most Beijing flavor?
Many Beijingers speak in children's voices, which has become a feature of Beijing. The cool breeze in Beijing in early autumn is very suitable for going out for a walk in leisure time. In addition to children's voices, hutong is also a major feature of Beijing. So, which hutongs in Beijing are very Beijing-like?

Ya 'er Hutong 1

Many foreign tourists who come to Beijing go to Houhai, and many people are familiar with Xie Jie in Dai Yan. This street is a must for Houhai, because its small shops are full of beautiful things. What many people don't know, however, is that at the western end of Xie Jie in Yandao, there is a very quiet hutong called Yaer Hutong.

Yaer Hutong runs east-west, inclining from southeast to northwest, starting from Xiaobei Hutong in the east and reaching Gulou West Street in the west, with a total length of 820 meters. It belongs to the Japanese-Chinese Square in the Ming Dynasty, and is called "Guanghua Temple Street" because there is Guanghua Temple in the hutong. In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Huang Zhengqi, so it was called "Ya 'er Hutong" because it was located along the Beijiang River in Houhai, and its later homonym was "Ya 'er Hutong" or "Ya 'er Hutong".

Ya 'er Hutong has a profound cultural background. Opposite Yaer Hutong Primary School is a two-story western-style building. This is the No.6 Yard Hutong, the former residence of writer Xiao Jun. It is understood that Xiao Jun's family moved here in 195 1 year. Because the house is very small, he arranged a storage room of less than two square meters in the corner of the house as a writing place. The storeroom has no windows, so it is airtight. Even if you write during the day, you must turn on the light. Despite the difficult conditions, Xiao Jun still enjoys it and named this writing room "Dwelling House". Here, he completed the novel The Third Generation, The Mine in May, The History of Wu and Yue in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Peking Opera version of Wu and Yue in the Spring and Autumn Period.

Yuer Hutong is east-west, starting from Nanluoguxiang in the east, ending in Buqiao Hutong in the west, adjacent to Xieyi Hutong in the east and Maoer Hutong in the north. The total length is 343 meters and the width is 5 meters. It belongs to Gongjing Square in Zhao Hui in Ming Dynasty, called Yulong Hutong. In Qing Dynasty, it was called Yuer Hutong in Huang Qi. It was renamed many times after the Republic of China, and 1979 was restored to its original name. Built at the same time as the Yuan Dynasty, it is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Beijing. It used to be the center of the Yuan Dynasty, and it was also the gathering place of dignitaries in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Fish Hutong is a place where crouching tiger hides dragon, and many celebrities have lived here. Qi Baishi, a famous painter, once lived in Yu Hutong 13, and is now the memorial hall of Qi Baishi's former residence. Now, Yuer Hutong 15 is the seat of China Artists Association, which adds a lot of humanistic flavor to this ancient hutong.

Together with Maoer Hutong in the north and Xieyihu in the south, Yuer Hutong also shows the sense of humor of old Beijingers: with Yuer, you need a hat on your head and clothes on your body. So from north to south, there are Maoer Hutong, Fish Hutong and Coir Hutong. Hearing these familiar place names and pronunciations, long-lost wanderers will naturally recall childhood memories and have a special taste in their hearts.

Don't look around 400 meters. There used to be Pingjie Hall, Fushan Hall and Huizhou Hall. Among them, Pingjietang was jointly built by businessmen from Pingyao and Jiexiu counties in Shanxi Province, and the building is magnificent. There is also the yamen of the command post of Duchayuan in the Qing Dynasty and the detective corps of the municipal police station established during the Republic of China.

Tianqiao Street also upgraded the Pingjie Guild Hall, the former site of Fushan Guild Hall and the former site of the Detective Corps Office of the Municipal Police Station during the Republic of China from the inside out according to the information, and strived to show the different architectural features of old Beijing. After hundreds of years of continuation and development, it has become a kind of texture embedded in Beijing. This alley is 438 meters long. It was called Juer in Ming Dynasty and Juer Hutong in Qing Dynasty.

Ju 'er Hutong is special not only because of its numerous historical sites and long history, but also because it is the only hutong listed in China's 20th century architectural heritage list, and the only residential area in China that won the UN Livable Award.

Mr. Wu began to study the reconstruction of the old city of Beijing from 1978, and in 1987, he selected No.41courtyard of Juer Hutong as a pilot and reconstructed No.3 courtyard of/kloc-0. There is not only a heavy history here, but also a humanized design that fits modern people's lives; It not only retains the face of traditional hutongs, but also has a good living environment.
