Wenshui County, which belongs to Lvliang City, Shanxi Province, is located in the middle of Shanxi Province, at the "golden intersection" of Taiyuan, Jinzhong and Lvliang. Two expressways, Universiade and Xia Fen, pass through the territory, and Tai-Yin Zhong Railway runs through the north and south. 307 national highway and 320 provincial highway run through the whole territory, and the county seat is 76 kilometers away from Taiyuan, which is located in the inner ring of Taiyuan city.

The county has formed a road network pattern of "two internal and external circulation, four corners radiating outward and ten exit passages", and the modern commercial logistics transportation supported by roads and railways is developed, which is the "thoroughfare place" of Sanjin.

In 2020, Wenshui County won the title of "Top 100 Counties and Cities in National Medical Service". Historical evolution:

1949, the Shanxi Provincial People's Government was established, and a new Fenyang area was established, which belongs to Wenshui County. 195 1 March, Wenshui County belongs to Yuci District. 1June, 954, Wenshui County belongs to Jinzhong District. 1958165438+10, Fenyang, Wenshui and Jiaocheng merged into Fenyang County, and Wenshui County was renamed Wenshui Town, and the Wenshui Town Office of Fenyang County was established.
