Qianjiang City, Hunan Province is a county-level city and one of the three generations of counties directly under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province.

Qianjiang, located in Jianghan Plain in central Hubei Province, is the hometown of China modern writer Cao Yu. 1994 is listed as one of the three municipalities directly under the central government in Hubei province.

Qianjiang is a member of Wuhan city circle. Since the county was founded in 965 (the third year of Song Gande), it has a history of 1000 years.
