During the Spring and Autumn Period, Chu Zhuangwang was in office for three years, hunting during the day and drinking at night, and did not care about state affairs. Knowing that the ministers were not satisfied with him, he gave an order: "Whoever dares to remonstrate will be sentenced to death!" " So ministers are afraid to come forward to remonstrate.
But a minister named Wu Ju said to King Zhuang, "I have a mystery for your king to guess." King Zhuang said, "Go." Wu Ju said, "There was a big bird in the State of Chu, wearing colorful clothes, but it stopped flying and barking for three years. What kind of bird is this? " Chu Zhuangwang said, "This is not an ordinary bird. This bird can fly. It can soar. It would be amazing if it didn't sing. You go, I already understand. "
From that day on, Chu Zhuangwang cheered up and managed the country seriously, and Chu gradually became stronger. Finally, this blockbuster Chu Zhuangwang became one of the five tyrants in the Spring and Autumn Period.
2. An armchair strategist
During the Warring States Period, Zhao She, a general of the State of Zhao, was promoted to Shangqing by King Huiwen of Zhao who was defeated and invaded Qin Jun. He had a son named Zhao Kuo, who was familiar with the art of war since childhood and loved to talk about military affairs. People often say that he is not. So I am proud and think the world is invincible.
However, Zhao She was very worried about him, thinking that he was just an armchair strategist, and said, "In the future, Zhao doesn't need him as a general. If you use him as a general, Zhao Jun will be defeated. " Sure enough, in 259 BC, when he attacked again, Zhao insisted on resisting the enemy in Changping (now near Gaoping, Shaanxi Province). Zhao was already dead at that time. Lian Po is in charge of commanding the whole army. Although he is old, he still has a good way of fighting, which makes Qin Jun unable to win.
Knowing that it was not good for him to drag on, the State of Qin used double agents to send people to Zhao to spread the news of "General Zhao Kuo, the son of Zhao She, which Qin Jun was most afraid of". The prince of Zhao was cheated and sent Zhao Kuo instead of Lian Po. Zhao Kuo thought he was good at fighting, and moved all the articles in Sun Tzu's Art of War to the dead. After Changping, he completely changed Lian Po's battle plan. As a result, more than 400,000 Zhao troops were wiped out, and he himself was shot by Qin Jun.
3, desperate to see
At the end of the Warring States period, Qin was very powerful. After defeating North Korea and Zhao, they marched into Yan State. Therefore, Yan Taizi Dan decided to send someone to assassinate the king of Qin to reverse the situation.
Prince Taizi Dan found a samurai named Jing Ke. He is good at fencing and is the best candidate to assassinate the king of Qin. In order to get Jing Ke close to the king of Qin, he specially prepared two things that the king of Qin longed for: one was the head of Fan, a general who defected from Qin to Yan, and the other was a map of Du Kang in Yan (now east of Zhuoxian County, Hebei Province), indicating that Yan wanted to dedicate this place to Qin.
These two things are put in boxes respectively. The dagger that stabbed the king of Qin was placed at the bottom of the rolled map. In addition, Jing Ke was assigned an assistant named Qin Wuyang. Before leaving, Prince Taizi Dan and Jing Ke's good friend Gao Jianli put on mourning clothes and sent Jing Ke to Yishui. Gao Jianli played Han Xiao for them.
The king of Qin was very happy to learn that Yan sent someone to offer two things he needed most. The capital Xianyang Palace received a grand reception. Jing Ke walked in front with a box with a fan's head in it, and Qin Wuyang followed with a box with a map in it.
When Qin Wuyang walked up the steps, his hands trembled with anxiety and his face turned white. Jing Ke hurriedly explained, and at the request of the king of Qin, took Qin Wuyang's box with a map in his hand, opened it on the spot, took out the map, and held it to the king of Qin with both hands. The king of Qin slowly unfolded the rolled map and watched it carefully. At the end of the exhibition, a dagger suddenly appeared. When Jing Ke saw the dagger, he grabbed the sleeve of the king of Qin with his left hand and stabbed it with his right hand.
However, Jing Ke did not stab the king of Qin. The king of Qin hurriedly drew his sword for self-defense, but he couldn't pull it out at the moment. So the two men walked around the post. Without the command of the king of Qin, the guards dared not move forward.
At this tense moment, the courtiers of the king of Qin suddenly whipped Jing Ke with a medical bag, and reminded the king of Qin to push his sword behind his back and pull it out. The king of Qin suddenly woke up and quickly drew his sword, which cut off Jing Ke's left leg. After Jing Ke fell to the ground, he threw the dagger at the king of Qin. The result was killed by the guards who came up.
4. Don't get in the way
Zhong Er, the son of the Jin Dynasty, fled to Chu. When the king of Chu received him, he asked, How can you repay me when you go back to Jin? Zhong Er said, Chu is outstanding and rich in products, much richer than Jin. What can I repay you?
King Chu said, then you'd better repay me. Zhong Er said, if you are wise, let me go back to China. In the future, if Jin and Chu join forces with the Central Plains and go to war, I will lead my troops back 90 miles. If you think this is not enough to repay, I will have to fight you!
Hearing Zhong Er's words, King Chucheng thought that Zhong Er was great, and God would definitely let him revive the State of Jin. It would be disastrous to go against God's will. So he treated Zhong Er with courtesy and sent him to Qin. Later, Zhong Er returned to the State of Jin and became a monarch. In the Battle of Chengpu, Chu Jin, he led his troops to retreat for 90 miles.
5. High mountains and flowing water
During the Spring and Autumn Period, Yu Boya was engaged in piano work, and his music vibrated greatly, which was difficult for ordinary people to understand. Only Zhong Ziqi can enjoy it. Drums and harps, aiming at the mountains, praised: "Good, I am like Mount Tai."
Boyaxuan threw himself into the running water again, and Zhong Ziqi sighed, "Well, it's like a river. No matter "aim at high mountains" or "aim at flowing water", whenever Boya expresses a theme or image in his music, Zhong Ziqi can understand its meaning. One day, Boya and Zhong Ziqi were swimming in the shade of Mount Tai. During the rainstorm, they stopped under the rock. Boya was depressed, so she played the piano for a while.
At first, Qin Le showed the scene of rain falling on a mountain stream, and then simulated the sound of mountain stream soaring and rock and soil caving. After each piece of music is completed, Zhong Ziqi "needs to be poor in interest", which makes the image in the music extremely transparent. Boya left the piano at this moment and sighed, "Good, good, you can hear the interest in this song. What you think is what I think. Where can I hide the sound? "
So they became life confidants. However, Liezi did not mention that Boya stopped playing the piano because of Zhong Ziqi's death. "Later, Zhong Ziqi died, Boya lost his bosom friend and never played the piano again. Later generations used the metaphor of "high mountains and flowing water" to mean that the sound is hard to meet, and it also means that the music is wonderful.
