Who invented Dong 'e Ejiao in Shandong?
The earliest recorded ancient book "Yaojiao" is 1973, an ancient medical silk book "Fifty-two Prescriptions for Diseases" unearthed from Mawangdui Han Tomb in Changsha, Hunan Province. The book "Fifty-two Diseases Prescriptions" was written in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period or even earlier, indicating that the medicinal use of Ejiao has been in China for at least 2,500 to 3,000 years.

The earliest ancient book that recorded Ejiao was Shennong Herbal Classic. Although "Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing" records Ejiao as "a famous doctor said that it was made from boiled cowhide in Dongping County, and it came out of East Asia", it directly shows that Ejiao is a top grade, which is beneficial to health and intellectual men for a long time.
