Luanchuan in history has undergone several changes, and Luanchuan was a wild place in Xia and Shang Dynasties.

From the Han Dynasty to the Northern Wei Dynasty, pavilions and towns were set up in the Tang Dynasty.

In Song and Yuan Dynasties (1087), Luanchuan Town was located and named after Sichuan.

Song Huizong County was established in the third year of Chongning (A.D. 1 104).

In the second year of Zhenyuan (A.D. 1 154), King Jin Hailing abandoned the county and changed to a town.

Yuan, Ming and Qing are all in town.

It was named after the source of Luanshui (now yi river).

Luanchuan was later changed to Luanchuan because of the clumping of trees.

During the Republic of China, it was located in Lushi County, Lishan District.

1947 Luanchuan was liberated and evacuated to the county seat.

It has successively moved to four areas in the border area of Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi, three areas in the border area of Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei, one area in southern Shaanxi, and seven areas in western Henan, Shaanxi and Luoyang.
