At the end of 2009, in order to promote the protection of historical blocks in Wuhan and build an education base in Socialism with Chinese characteristics, Wuhan Municipal People's Government and Wuhan Customs signed a letter of intent to transform Jianghan Customs Building into a museum by land replacement.
