Bai Chongxi (1March 89318—1February 2, 966), a native of Shanwei, Huixian Town, Lingui District, Guilin City, Guangxi Province, was a first-class general of the Republic of China, and was called "Little Zhuge". Xingui, a warlord, is a representative figure and is called Li Bai together with Li Zongren.
During the Northern Expedition, he led Guangxi troops to attack Shanhaiguan. After the victory of the Northern Expedition, he fought many wars with Chiang Kai-shek and other local forces. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the two men mobilized troops from Guangxi to fight against the Japanese army, and cooperated in directing many wars, winning many wars.

After the victory of Bai Chongxi War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he served as the "Minister of National Defense of the Republic of China", but the Kuomintang government failed to keep the victory in the Northeast.
The situation became more and more unfavorable to the Kuomintang government, and the new Guangxi clique could not keep half of the Republic of China in the end. After the People's Liberation Army liberated Chinese mainland, Bai Chongxi fled to Taiwan Province and died in Taipei on 1966.
