What kind of faucet valve core is good and how to change it?
Faucet valve core is an important part of faucet work. At present, there are three kinds of faucet valve cores with different materials on the market, each with its own characteristics. Let's take a look together.

What kind of faucet valve core is good?

Rubber valve core

Most rubber-core faucets are cast iron faucets with spiral openings, which have been basically eliminated now. This kind of faucet has a short service life and is easy to leak. Ceramic valve core faucet appeared in recent years, with good quality, and it is more common now; Stainless steel valve core has only recently appeared, which is more suitable for areas with poor water quality.

Ceramic valve core

Ceramic valve core is the most widely used and sought after valve core in the market at present. The biggest advantage of ceramic spool faucet is wear resistance and long service life. The biggest defect of ceramic valve core faucet is that it is too "sand in its eyes" and requires high water quality. Magazines and oxides in the water will pose a fatal threat to it.

Stainless steel valve core

Compared with the delicate ceramic valve core, the stainless steel valve core can "get rid of mud without staining". Stainless steel valve core is a new valve core material.

Especially suitable for areas with poor water quality, and the requirements for water quality are not high. Because it is not affected by impurities in water, the service life will not be shortened. Brand recommendation of faucet valve core

Sedal track spool, produced in Spain, is one of the three major spool brands in the world. We have our own wholly-owned enterprises in China, with reasonable price positioning, up-to-date service and long service life.

Leading manufacturers do not need to import from Europe, so they are widely used in China at present. Kerox Kohloss spool, produced in Hungary, is one of the three major spool brands in the world. Someone on the Internet said it was made in Austria, so you don't have to take it seriously. For example, some sink faucets like Moen use Kohloss valve core, and the quality is also very good.

Sousa spool, produced in Italy, is one of the three major spool brands in the world, but it is extremely rare in China.

How to change the faucet valve core?

1, how to remove the old spool?

Method 1: First close the main water valve, then fasten the faucet handle with a red and blue mark of about 8 mm, loosen the fixing screw counterclockwise with a flat-head screwdriver, remove the handle, remove the faucet valve core with a live wrench, open the upper gland with a wrench, and take out the ceramic valve core inside.

Method 2: First close the main water valve. You can insert a screwdriver under the faucet handle and pry it from left to right. You should pry it slowly and evenly so that the valve core can be taken out.

Method 3: First close the main water valve, unscrew the blue cover on the right handle, loosen the screws inside with a cross screwdriver, remove the handle, and the valve core will be exposed, and then unscrew the valve core with adjustable wrench.

2. How to install a new valve core

After removing the valve core, you will see a circle of blue rubber at the bottom of the valve core. Generally speaking, the bottom of the left spool is red rubber and the right spool is blue rubber. Therefore, when changing the valve core on the right, you should still use the blue rubber valve core. After the valve core is installed, insert the handle and adjust the direction of the handwheel. Turn your hands to both sides, the water is turned off, and the direction where people stand is boiling water.

Install the screw and cover the blue cover on the right to replace the new valve core.
