Jinsha Site Museum, located in the northwest of Chengdu, is a site museum built on the original site of Jinsha Site, covering an area of 456 mu and a building area of 38,000 square meters.

Jinsha site is named after its location. Before the site was discovered, it was called "Jinsha Village". On the tombstone unearthed from a tomb in the post-Shu period of the Five Dynasties, it was called "Jinsha Township", which belonged to Xipu County at that time, indicating that the name "Jinsha" existed at least in the Five Dynasties and has been in use ever since.
