Speaking of Tanghe, many friends who are familiar with the history of the Ming Dynasty should be familiar with it. Because this man's story is so legendary. Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming emperor, took part in the peasant army uprising because of the introduction of Tanghe. Later, after the founding of the Ming Dynasty, Tanghe gradually became a believer with his military achievements.
Most importantly, among the founding heroes in Hongwu period, Tanghe was the only one who died of natural causes. This result is basically unique since the founding of the Ming Dynasty.
Then, as the only hero who died in the Hongwu period, what was the end of his descendants after the death of Tanghe? What are the ending stories after his death?
According to historical records, Tanghe had five sons and five daughters in his life.
The eldest son Tang Ding, the second son Tang Di, the third son Tang Yi, the fourth son Tang Xie and the fifth son Tang Yi.
Tang Ding, the eldest son, joined the army as an official with Tang He long ago and served as a former army commander (at that time, this was a second-rate official, and it must be a senior officer). Unfortunately, Tang Ding was unlucky. In the 14th year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang sent Fu Youde on an expedition to Yunnan, accompanied by Tang Ding, who died in Yunnan.
The second son, Tang Di, once served as a bodyguard in Taiyuan, with a high rank. And most importantly, Tang Di is the only one of Tang and his five sons who lives longer.
The third son, Tang Nai, and the fourth son, Tang Xie, all died young, which is not recorded in the history books.
Wuzitang Village with the highest level of knowledge in Zuo Jun (this is a product). But unfortunately, when he led the army to conquer the five defenders, Tang Miao died unfortunately.
The fifth son of Tang Dynasty had only one second son, Tang Di, who lived for a long time. But at the same time, except for the three sons and four sons who died young, the other three sons have achieved a very high position in the military. It can also be seen that Zhu Yuanzhang was so kind to Tanghe. Compared with Li Shanchang, Hu, and Aquamarine, this is a world of difference.
However, Tang He and his descendants, though rare, ended well. But after the death of Tanghe, there are still some other endings for future generations.
As the title.
When Tanghe was founded in the Ming Dynasty, though for various reasons, he did not become the founding duke with Li Shanchang, Xu Da and others. But later, with his military exploits, he was named the master of the book. In the twenty-eighth year of Hongwu, after the death of Tanghe, he was posthumously named the King of Dongou.
According to the title inheritance system of the Ming Dynasty, Tang He, a loyal monarch, can only inherit the title of the eldest son. But the problem is that Tang Ding, the eldest son of Tanghe, died in Yunnan in the 14th year of Hongwu. Tang Ding's son Tang Sheng (the eldest grandson of Tanghe) and Tang Sheng's son Tang Wenyu (the great grandson) all died young before being knighted. Therefore, when Tang Wenyu's son Tang Jie (great-grandson) asked the court to accept the title of Tanghe, a very wonderful thing happened.
At the time of Tang Jie's request, it was already the time when Ming Yingzong was in office. At that time, when Tang Jie asked Ming Yingzong to take the title, Ming Yingzong actually took the title that no one inherited from Tang for forty years, and directly removed the title left by Tang He!
To make matters worse, Tang Jie never gave birth to a son in his life. Finally, I had to adopt a son named Tang Shaozong from his brother.
By Tang Shaozong's generation, the Tang family no longer hoped that the court would give him any title. It happened that the incumbent at that time was replaced by Zhu Youtang, Emperor Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty. After taking special care of these heroes, Zhu Youtang was especially kind to Tang. Tang Shaozong was given a command post of Nanjing Royal Guards directly, and this position is hereditary!
Although the commander of Nanjing Royal Guards is not as prominent as Beijing, he is still in the position of doctrine. It is quite favorable to be able to inherit from the position of the third grade.
This is not over.
During the Jiajing period, Emperor Jiajing not only maintained the hereditary position of Nanjing Royal Guards, but also gave Tang a title of Lingbihou.
The title of Lingbi Hou has been passed down for five generations. It was not until the fifth generation of Lingbi Hou Tang Guozhuo surrendered to the Qing Dynasty at the end of the Ming Dynasty that the inheritance of this title completely ended.
Although there is a great difference from believing in lord protector to being a Marquis of Lingbi, there is at least a hereditary title. The descendants of Tanghe survived unharmed, much better than other heroes who were killed.
Until today, we can still find many descendants of Tanghe. For example, historians have discovered the descendants of Tanghe in Yunnan, Nanjing and Hangzhou.
In addition to these five sons, Tang He has five daughters, and their lives are very good.
The eldest daughter married Hou Liaoquan of Deqing at that time; The second daughter married Zhu Tan, the tenth son of Zhu Yuanzhang, king of Lu, as a princess (unfortunately Zhu Tan died at the age of twenty). Three women married Yu Ding, commander of Wanquanwei; Four women married Lai Rong, the son of Commander Lai Zhen of Jingdong Wei; Five women married Yuan Xing, son of Yuan Yi, and Xiong Wei, commander-in-chief of Chu State.
These five daughters, although not named. But according to historical research, their husbands are doing very well. Later, Zhu Yuanzhang killed the hero without hurting these people, which was a good ending.
