Brief Introduction of Jingtieshan Iron Mine in Gansu Province
Jingtieshan iron deposit belongs to Sinian metamorphic sedimentary iron deposit. It is the earliest large-scale iron ore deposit discovered and explored in northwest China, with proven reserves of 484 million tons, which constitutes the backbone mine of jiuquan iron and steel Company. Copper ore and barite coexist with iron ore, which has great potential for comprehensive development and utilization.

The deposit includes Huashugou and Heigou mining areas under exploitation and planned exploitation, and there are a number of small and medium-sized iron mines of the same type around the mining areas, such as Toudaogou, Baijian, Xiliugou, Jin Er Quan, Jiapigou, Xiaoliugou, Jiuqingyang and Gulangxia. Concentrated in the central and western Qilian Mountains, along the Caledonian fold belt in the northern Qilian Mountains, it is distributed in the NW-SE direction, with a length of about 40 kilometers and a width of about 8 kilometers, forming Jingtieshan iron ore field, with proven iron ore reserves of nearly 600 million tons.
