Confucius and China Culture
Although Confucius is one of the philosophers, he is a master of China culture. The Qin Dynasty ruled by legalists, while the Western Han Dynasty ruled by inaction before Emperor Wu. During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Dong Zhongshu put forward the principle of "rejecting a hundred schools of thought and showing six classics", which established and consolidated the dominant position of Confucius' theory in China culture, and Confucius became a representative figure of China culture. Thousands of years of culture, thanks to Confucius; Without Confucius, there would be no China culture.
Confucius and the world
Confucius' theory has a far-reaching influence in the surrounding areas of China, such as North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam and other places, forming a Confucian cultural circle in East Asia.
Confucius' thoughts also had an important influence on other parts of the world. In the west, Confucianism promoted the modern enlightenment in Europe. The pioneers of modern Western Enlightenment, represented by Voltaire, Diderot, Rousseau, Locke, Holbach, Leibniz, Hume and Quesnay, absorbed Confucius' thoughts, broke the feudal hereditary and theological rule in Europe, and gave birth to the development of freedom, equality, democracy, human rights, fraternity and rationality.
debate
Although Confucius thought has been highly valued in past dynasties, it has been criticized in modern times. Some people think that Confucius thought is a part of feudal society, while others think that critics don't understand Confucius thought deeply and just write articles literally.
Although Confucius thought was impacted by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement, the New Culture Movement and the Cultural Revolution, it is still the soul of China culture.
