As early as the Warring States period, bamboo farm tools and all kinds of articles were indispensable things in life, among which the most widely spread and folk characteristic was the basket made in Zhejiang during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Bamboo weavers divide weaving into three categories: film work (such as mats, mats); Silk fabrics (such as bamboo, foil, basket, basket); Hanako (pattern product). In addition, straw weaving and brown weaving also have a long history. Bamboo weaving (straw weaving) products in rural areas of our city are very rich, especially the "bamboo hat" and "pushshoes" in Shangshu Township, Lucheng District.
Chen and Jin Changliu in Shangshu Township are knitting straw sandals and straw hats respectively. In the past, straw products were mostly daily necessities, but now most of them have become handicrafts.
