Who was the earliest female doctor?
The earliest female doctor in Chinese history was Qi Yi.

Yi Wei, a native of Hedong, was born in this county this summer. Is the first recorded female doctor in the history of our country, known as the first female doctor. She was the first of the four famous doctors in ancient China (Bao Gu in Jin Dynasty, Qi Yi in Western Han Dynasty, Zhang Xiaoniang in Song Dynasty and Tan Yunxian in Ming Dynasty).

Yi has been interested in herbs since he was a child. When he was a teenager, he began collecting herbs in the mountains, mashing them and applying them to the villagers to treat injuries. Whenever a doctor passes by, she always asks for advice modestly. Over time, she learned a lot of medical knowledge and accumulated rich clinical experience.

Because of her famous medical skills, Yi was later called into the palace by the emperor to treat the Queen Mother. The Queen Mother died in the third year of Yuanshuo (BC 126). Therefore, medical activities in Yi Xuan should be before 126 BC. Unfortunately, her life and medical achievements have not been handed down in the book. This woman, as legendary as Dae Jang Geum in South Korea, should be a white peony flower, quiet, calm and tenacious.

Historical stories about righteousness.

Once, I brought a patient with abdominal edema from other places. His stomach is bigger than the pregnant woman who is about to give birth, his umbilical eyes are prominent, and his body is skinny and dying. Yiyou examined her carefully, took out a few silver needles, stabbed the patient's abdomen and legs several times in a row, and took out a pack of powder and sprinkled it on the patient's umbilical eye, wrapped it in silk soaked in hot water, and fed the patient with Chinese medicine. After a few days, the patient's swelling gradually subsided, and in less than 10 days, the patient could get up and move.

Later, Yi's medical skills were known to the emperor, and he was recruited into the palace to serve as a doctor and treat the Queen Mother, which won the trust of the Queen Mother.

One day, the Queen Mother asked her, Do you have any sons or brothers? Yi Wei said: "There is only one younger brother who is honest, but his behavior is bad and he can't be an official." But because the queen mother liked her very much, she invited Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty to be a corps commander and Shangdang county magistrate.
