Australia has many unique characteristics. For example, its plants and animals, its natural resources, its topography, its river system and its human characteristics.

There are many physical features because this continent was isolated from other continents millions of years ago.

Australia has unique plants and animals. 80% of the plants there are naturally invisible in other parts of the world. They have wet and dry hard forests, bushes, rainforests and so on. There are special types of animals here, such as marsupials and monotremes. This is because their natural enemies and competitors do not exist. Other animals such as reptiles, amphibians and birds are also very different there. They have all developed functions suitable for the Australian environment.

Australia doesn't have many water resources, but they have many other resources, such as minerals and energy. The most important export minerals are iron ore and bauxite. Most of them can be found in the western plateau. Energy such as fuel comes from swamps buried millions of years ago.

Australia has a unique landform. This is the flattest and lowest continent on earth. The highest mountain there (Kosciusko Mountain) is 2228 meters high.

The largest watershed here is the Murry-Daring watershed. It owns Murray River and Darling River, which flow to Greater Australia.

Australians are also unique. Australia is a multicultural country with people from different cultural backgrounds. It has the most cultural diversity in the world.

So as we can see, Australia is a very unique country with unique natural and human characteristics.
