The Chinese character at the beginning represents the province to which the license plate belongs, and the first letter after the Chinese character represents a city in that province. Every city in a province has its own letter, and n is the representative letter of Suqian City, Jiangxi Province.

History of car license plate number
The first license plate of China automobile was issued in September, 1949. The license plate at that time was not quite the same as it is now.
