Located in Xialu District, Huangshi City, 25 kilometers west of the city center. Orient Mountain in a broad sense refers to a small mountain range with a length of 30 kilometers and a width of nearly 5 kilometers across the junction of Huangshi and Ezhou. Orient Mountain in a narrow sense only refers to Manganlong, Guanshenglong and Zhaimai in Huangshi city. Above 400 meters above sea level, the relative height is above 380 meters. These connected peaks stand on the valley plain with an average elevation of only about 20 meters, which is majestic and steep. Orient Mountain's name originated in the mid-Western Han Dynasty, where the famous Dong Fangshuo lived in seclusion. In order to commemorate him, the villagers named the nameless barren hill where he lived after his surname-"Dongfang", and named the mountain where he lived in the natural cave after his word "Manqian". There is a large-scale Buddhist temple on the Oriental Mountain, namely the first Brahma Lan Ruo in Orient Mountain built by Emperor Tang Xianzong, covering an area of more than 4,000 square meters. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the temple was rebuilt and expanded, making it more magnificent. During the Chenghua period of Ming Xianzong (1465- 1487), the imperial calligraphy temple in Zhu Jianshen of Xianzong was named "Honghua Temple", which has been in use ever since. Later, because of a fire, the whole Honghua Temple was burned to a white ground. In the spring of the thirty-fourth year of Wanli (1606), the main building of Honghua Temple was rebuilt, and the scale was smaller than before. The Qing dynasty was on fire again. Under the auspices of the 40th abbot, Orient Mountain Honghua Temple was rebuilt in five years, and its scale was slightly expanded. Yu Guozhu, a university student in Wuyingdian and an official minister, inscribed the banner of "Three Chu First Mountain". When you arrive in Orient Mountain, you must visit the Honghua Temple. When you come to Honghua Temple, you will inevitably think of its long and splendid historical sites and stories. As the saying goes, "the mountain is not high, and the fairy is famous." Orient Mountain is such a famous mountain with outstanding people! In the sentence "White Lotus Prints Flat Peach Crescent, Fairy Buddhas Return", two famous historical figures are invited: Dong Fangshuo who served the emperor in the Western Han Dynasty and went in and out of the court, and Zen Master Yin Zhi, a monk in the Tang Dynasty who was highly valued by Tang Xianzong.
As for Dong Fangshuo, "Biography of Han Dong Fang Shuo" said: "The new moon tasted drunk in the temple and went to the small hall, disrespectful and forbidden to be Shu Ren." According to research, he lived in Orient Mountain during his exile. Previously, he had been here with Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty during his southern tour. According to the Records of Toponymy of Huangshi City, there was a ballad: "Han Emperor swam this mountain in the south and lingered in the east. When I moved, I was drunk in the palace and was amused for two years. " In this way, this funny and disoriented Dong Fangshuo, perhaps in order to retreat to Orient Mountain again, deliberately drunk and drowned in the king's temple! Dong Fangshuo is a popular figure, and there are many folklores about him. The so-called "Flat Peach Crescent" in the poem refers to the legend that Dong Fangshuo ate the flat peach of the Queen Mother. As for "White Lotus Yin Zhi", it refers to the white lotus planted by Zen master Yin Zhi in front of the mountain temple in the Tang Dynasty. Yin Zhi was the first founder of Honghua Temple. He studied with the Zen master from Nanyue and was proficient in Buddhist classics. When he went down the mountain, Huai rang said to him, "When you travel in the clouds, you stop in the east and live in the blue and white flowers. After that, you will have three disasters and three fires, and you will be ruined again and again. " Later, when Yin Zhi really traveled to Orient Mountain and saw a ginkgo tree, he suddenly realized under the guidance of his teacher. So I settled here. Emperor Tang Xianzong also gave him a royal name and a poem, and inscribed the name of the temple: "Baofeng Zhao Ti". However, the name of this temple has not been used.
It is of typical significance for the author to choose these two historical figures to write poems. Yin Zhi is a representative figure of Zen monks in ancient temples, and Honghua Temple prospered as a result. On the other hand, Dong Fangshuo is closely related to Orient Mountain, and Orient Mountain was named after him. The Records of Daye County in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty quoted the old records and said, "Orient Mountain ... was spread from the world to Dong Fangshuo, hence its name." A mountain and a temple are represented by two people respectively, and this mountain and temple are more famous.

Regardless of public opposition, he held a large number of meditation activities, worshipped God and sought immortality, and lived in luxury. In addition, the corvee is heavy and the people complain. Dong Fangshuo, a cartoonist, criticized the "real dragon son of heaven" and took away the so-called "elixir of life" that Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty tried his best to get. To the great displeasure of the emperor. In this case, Dong Fangshuo was half tired of his official career and half avoided disaster, so he took a long vacation and wandered the rivers and lakes.
This year, in order to travel to Jason Wu, Dong Fangshuo traveled all the way along the Han River by boat. On the way, he boarded a boat in Daye county and built a house on a barren hill to live in. About Dong Fangshuo left Kyoto in a hurry, and he didn't have time to choose the time. When he landed, there was another flood and another Wang Yang. Dong Fangshuo built a simple and comfortable temporary residence anywhere. In front of a natural cave in the mountain, build a house, play chess, draw calligraphy and painting, sit quietly in the room, listen to the monkeys crying and tigers whistling, enjoy the singing and dancing of birds, and immerse yourself in the heart with the vegetation. Out of respect for him, the local villagers kept Dong Fangshuo's residence on the mountain. After his death, his memorial tablet was consecrated in his house on the mountain. It is said that when people in China encounter natural disasters and man-made disasters, they all come to the statue of Dong Fangshuo to beg for asylum, and most of them are "responsive".
