In 2000, Tan sheep was listed as a national second-class protected variety by the Ministry of Agriculture. In June 2003, it was awarded the title of "Hometown of China Tan Sheep" by China International Brand Association, and successfully registered the certificate of origin of "Yanchi Tan Sheep" in June 2005. In 2006, China Tanyang Pavilion was built in Yanchi County, and the first China Ningxia Tanyang Festival was held ceremoniously. In September 2008, it obtained the famous trademark of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, 20 10 1. On August 3rd, 2008, Kloc-0, "Yanchi Tanyang" was applied by Tanyang Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Station in Yanchi County, and was registered as "Geographical Indication of Agricultural Products" after being audited by National Agricultural Bureau.
