Expanding information Confucius' story
First, Confucius asked children to be their own teachers.
During the Spring and Autumn Period, Confucius often traveled around the world with several important disciples to spread his thoughts and political views. One day, Confucius and his disciples planned to go to the State of Jin. When they were walking on the road, they met a child playing with stones on the road, blocking the way of this group of people.
Confucius said, "Son, you shouldn't play with stones in the middle of the road, it will block the road of cars." The child pointed to his own gravel pile and said to Confucius, "Old gentleman, have you seen what I made?" Confucius turned his head and took a look, and found that the child had built a castle.
The child went on to say, "Now you see what I am building. Is the car giving way to the city or the city giving way to the car?" Confucius was suddenly asked and didn't know how to answer. He found that in this exchange, the child kept a polite question and answer, so he asked the child's name, and the child told Confucius truthfully.
During the communication, Confucius learned that the child was only seven years old. Confucius turned to his disciples and said, "This child can understand etiquette at such a young age and can also be my teacher."
Second, Confucius answered Lutz's question.
Lutz asked Confucius a question: "Should we directly implement an excellent idea?" Confucius replied: "Sometimes what you think is excellent is that there are many people who are older than you, and their knowledge is extraordinary. You can discuss it together and then decide, and it is best not to implement it immediately. "
Ran once asked Confucius the same question, and Confucius' answer was this: "It can be implemented directly." The whole process of this incident was seen by Gong Xihua. He was puzzled and asked Confucius why.
Confucius said, "This is my teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. Ran is rather timid and indecisive. If my words can make him brave, why not do it? " Lutz's character is still sloppy, and he needs the in-depth guidance of others to better complete the task. "
