Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Wenchang Palace, Wenchang Tower, Wenchang Pavilion and other buildings have been built in various places to worship Wenchang Emperor. Wenchang Pavilion in Taizhou is the earliest Wenchang Pavilion in China. It is located in the south of Chi Pan, the original temple, opposite the Nanshan Temple Tower. It was founded by Li Xiang, a Confucian tutor in Taizhou, in the 17th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1589). It was rebuilt later.
