history

As far back as the Neolithic Age 10,000 years ago, human beings lived and multiplied in Luoding. They lived in caves in Pingtang and Jinji today and lived a life of fishing and hunting. Four or five thousand years ago, the Luojing River, Luojing River and Taiping River basins in Luoding were all covered with traces of human life. In the early years, the owner of the Warring States Tomb was found in Fushan, northeast of Luoping. More than 2400 years ago, Luoding once created a splendid ancient civilization. In this regard, Mr. Zeng, a famous geographer in China, once wrote: "Luoding is adjacent to Gaoyao in the east, Yangchun in the south and Cenxi in the west. It is an ancient natural country, that is, the land of the ancient kingdom between two mountains (clouds)."

In the sixth year of Ding Yuan in the Western Han Dynasty (1 1 1), Luoding belonged to Duan Xi County, Cangwu County. At the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there were two counties, Longxiang County and Hexian County, in Luoding County, and Longxiangzhi was located in Tanbai Management District of Taiping Town (regarding counties, famous geographers Zeng and Xu thought it was on the western edge of Luoding Basin).

After the county was established at the end of Jin Dynasty, Luoding's position rose rapidly. A few years after the establishment of Longxiang County, Jin Kang County moved from Yuanxi County to Long Long County. Since then, Luoding Taiping has been the seat of county administration until the early Northern Song Dynasty, which lasted more than 600 years. During the period, it was once changed to Guangxi County, but the county seat was still located in Luoding.

The Southern Dynasty (AD 502-58 1 year) established a state (Longzhou) in Luoding County. Three counties (Pingyuan County, Kaiyang County and Luoyang County); Six counties (Longxiang County, Furun County, Yongxi County, Luoping County, Kaiyang County and Annan County).

In the ninth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (AD 583), the county system was changed from county to state, and Luoding was established as one state and four counties. Twenty-four years later, the county system was changed from county to county. With Taiping and Luo Jing in Luoding as the center, Yongxi County was established, and Pingtan remained the county seat. Yongxi County governs Longshui County, Yongxi County (both in Luoding) and Huaide County (now Xinyi).

In the early Tang Dynasty, Yongxi County was changed to Longzhou, and Luoding restored the political system of one state and four counties. Later, Longzhou was renamed Kaiyang County, and Longzhou was renamed in the first year of Gan Yuan (AD 758), which governed four counties: Longshui, Kaiyang, Yongxi (later changed to Yongning) and Annan (later changed to Zhennan).

In the fifth year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (AD 1577), Longshui County was upgraded to Luoding Zhili Prefecture because of the "Yao Rebellion" in Luopang area, and the name of Luoding went down in history. Luoding Zhili Prefecture governed Dong 'an (Yunfu County) and Xining (Yunan County), commonly known as "San Luo" until Xinhai.
